The Walker Family is truly a family of socially conscious fighters. I have watched Delegate Danielle Walker fight against injustice in all its forms. I worked with her youngest son, Devin, to bring vaccines to a forgotten community. The world witnessed her eldest son, Demetry, face leukemia with a courage and passion that inspired community solidarity via blood donations, bone marrow registrations, and promoting cancer awareness.
Although Demetry Walker is no longer with us, I will continue to look to him and his family as a source of personal inspiration. Please, take some time to reach out to this family that has given so much and offer whatever support you can. I also implore you to listen to their messages and internalize them.
